I used PopupEliminator for the full trial period and found it to actually do just what your description information said it would do. I would also like to say that I have tried a number of eliminators and this was the best one out of all of them. I found it to be user friendly, and probably most importantly did not cause any lockups or crashes as many of the others have done.

Do you ever get the feeling that someone is watching you online? That your every move is being monitored, your every click catalogued?
Don't worry, you're not paranoid--you're just well informed. The Internet is a snooper's paradise, and the best way yet devised by man to invade your privacy. But fear not: I've found three great programs in ZDNet Downloads to help guard your privacy when you're on the Net.
SurfSecret protects your privacy by sweeping clean all traces of your surfing activities. At intervals you choose, it automatically kills telltale files like your Internet cache files, cookies, history, temporary files, recent documents, and the contents of the Recycle Bin. (Shareware/Win95-98-NT)
